What You'll do

In this 1.5-2 hour ultra-cozy session, you'll create comfort-themed pottery while literally being comfortable. Learn relaxed handbuilding techniques in the most relaxed dress code ever — your PJs. Make oversized mugs perfect for curling up with coffee, breakfast bowls for lazy mornings, or any cozy vessel that matches your self-care aesthetic. Morning classes include coffee bar service to fuel your creativity. Evening classes welcome BYOB wine (21+) for that extra cozy vibe. Come solo for solo self-care or bring your pajama party crew.

You will handbuild your pottery at a workbench.

Check In (In Your PJs)

Arrive in your comfiest pajamas — we're talking fuzzy slippers, messy buns, matching PJ sets, quirky onesies, or whatever makes you feel most relaxed. Morning session? Grab coffee from our coffee bar. Evening session? Pour yourself some wine (BYOB 21+). Get settled at your cozy workstation and prepare for the most comfortable pottery class of your life. Zero judgment on your unicorn onesie.

Create Cozy Pottery

Learn relaxed handbuilding techniques while literally being relaxed. Create cozy-themed pieces that match your comfort aesthetic — oversized mugs that hold enough coffee for two hands, breakfast bowls perfect for lazy Sunday mornings, tea cups for your evening wind-down ritual, or comfort food vessels. Your instructor guides you through techniques while you work in peak comfort.

Add Your Personal Touch

Personalize your cozy creations with carved details, textured patterns, or sculptural elements. Make pottery that matches your self-care aesthetic — minimalist and calming, bold and energizing, or somewhere in between. Expect plenty of laughs and zero judgment about your outfit choices. Your pieces stay at the studio for drying and bisque firing (approximately 2-3 weeks).

Add Color + Shine

Return (in PJs if you want) to glaze your cozy pottery in colors that match your comfort vibe. Choose soothing neutrals, warm earth tones, or bold pops of color. Glazing provides a glossy, waterproof finish that makes your pottery both functional and beautiful. Take home pieces that make your morning coffee or evening tea ritual extra special.

When Do I Get My Pottery?

MAKING HANDMADE POTTERY TAKES TIME AND THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES!

Smashed Clay projects and experiences are designed using our proprietary method, techniques and tools to help jumpstart your project.

However, it takes years to learn the art of handmade pottery. While we hope your finished project turns out exactly as you envisioned, there is no guarantee that your handmade pottery will make it through the entire process and/or result in what you set out to make.

Thick pottery may take longer to dry. Pottery that is too thick, too thin or constructed in a manner that creates stress during the drying or firing process may crack, break or explode. Pottery can take 2-3+ weeks to dry, prepare and bisque fire. You can monitor the status of on our website.

Do I Have to Glaze My Pottery?

Any pottery that will come in contact with food or drinks would need to be glazed and fired to seal the bisque and create a food and dishwasher safe finish. If you intend to use your pottery to hold water or if it will be exposed to the weather, you may also want to glaze your pottery.
