Our vision is to build spaces where everyone feels welcome to come as they are, freely explore their creativity, and experience the pure joy of making something unique.
Based in Houston, our family-owned studios are driven by a mission to share our love for playing in the mud to create beautiful things.
In May 2021, our journey began in a small warehouse in Cypress, Texas.
We set out to offer something different from the typical pottery painting studios—a place where adults could unwind, get hands-on, and enjoy the process.
Nope, we’re not always breaking things.
The first pottery experience we offered, Sip and Smash, introduced makers to slam wedging, where different colors of clay are blended and smashed together to create marbled designs. Makers can sip (it’s BYOB), socialize, and make something one-of-a-kind.
We believe creativity should be bold, playful, and a little messy. Whether you’re here for supplies or an unforgettable experience, we’re all about making pottery fun, accessible, and full of personality.
All Smashed Studio Pottery Supplies are designed and made by us, right here in Houston.
What does that mean for you? We’re here to make sure you get what you need. We can customize anything we offer to match your needs.
Our colored clay is pugged and packaged by us. Want custom colors? We can do that.
Want it in a different color? Name a color (even black light reactive)! Need a different size? We’ve got you. Dreaming up a profile we don’t offer? Let’s bring it to life.
We don’t just copy and paste.
We don’t want to make the same old tools you can find anywhere. We’re here to create playful, bold, and fun-to-use tools that give makers more flexibility, creativity, and consistency. Just check out RibIt, the first customizable throwing rib, patent pending.
You’ll only find tools here that we’ve personally designed, tested, and refined. Every week, we even put them through real-world use with hundreds of first-time potters in our studios to make sure they help makers create pieces they love, whether it’s their first time at the wheel or their hundredth.
