Brownie Potter Badge Workshop

Our 2 hour long Pottery Workshop designed to help Girl Scouts earn their Brownie Potter Badge! During the workshop, we'll introduce the scouts to the basics of pottery, including hand-building techniques, surface decoration, and the creative process of working with clay.

$25 per Scout – Includes:

• Introduction to clay types & pottery techniques
• Step-by-step instruction on hand-building & shaping clay
• Surface decorating techniques (stamping, carving, textures)
• Discussion on the firing & glazing process
• A finished pottery piece to take home (after firing)

Glazing & Finishing Options:

• We have glazes they can apply the same day, but for best results, we recommend a second visit to glaze after the first firing (requires an additional firing).
• Scouts may also choose to paint their pieces with regular paints at home or during a troop meeting. (Note: Unglazed pottery should be used for decorative purposes only.)
