THINGS TO KNOW

What makes your stencils different from Amazon or craft store stencils?

Our stencils are specifically engineered for pottery with 10mil acetate (3x thicker than craft stencils), sized to perfectly fit our clay cutters and GR Pottery forms, and feature exclusive trend-forward designs created by ceramic artists. They're built for high-volume studio use and won't curl, tear, or degrade like thin craft stencils.

What is 10mil acetate and why does it matter?

10mil refers to the thickness (10/1000 of an inch) of professional-grade acetate. This thickness provides the perfect balance of flexibility to curve with bowls and rigidity to maintain crisp edges. It's thick enough to wipe clean without bending but flexible enough to conform to dimensional pieces.

Can I layer stencil designs?

Yes! Our acetate is transparent, making it easy to align multiple layers. Let each layer dry before applying the next. Many potters rotate the same stencil for complex mandala effects.

Do these work with all decorating mediums?

Absolutely! Use with slip, underglaze, glaze, ceramic paint, wax resist, or even mishima techniques. The smooth acetate surface releases cleanly from any medium and won't absorb moisture like paper stencils.

How do I prevent bleeding under the stencil?
